Alterra is recruiting new Pioneers!
Hello Subnauts,
Alterra Corporation has opened applications to recruit new explorers for its Pioneer program. Head over to the website and complete the aptitude test to discover your recommended role.
Every application submitted will count towards the goal of unlocking a community-wide reward.
If the community collectively reaches 100,000 applications during the event period, all Subnautica 2 players will receive an in-game poster!
How to Enter
- Visit the website [https://alterracareer.com/] and complete the A.C.A.T. (Alterra Career Aptitude Test).
- Review your recommended role and click "Apply for Recommended Role."
- Once you’ve applied, your submission is complete and you'll be redirected to the Subnautica 2 Steam store page.
- When the page loads, one application will be added to the community total.
Don’t forget to wishlist Subnautica 2 on the Steam store page to stay up to date with Early Access news and future updates!

May 2, 2026 at 12:00 PM – May 29, 2026 at 11:59 PM (PDT)
Reward
If the community reaches 100,000 total applications during the event period, the Lost River Poster will be unlocked in-game as a craftable blueprint. This reward will be automatically granted to all players who own Subnautica 2, regardless of whether they participated in the event.

- Each person may submit only one application.
- This event is not an actual hiring or interview process.
