The San Francisco IGDA is thrilled to present Darrell Gallagher and Scott Amos from Crystal Dynamics on Wednesday, May 4th at Dolby Labs at 7PM.

Title: "Inventing and Re-inventing better Mousetraps"

Description: Crystal Dynamics' Studio Head, Darrell Gallagher and Executive Producer, Scott Amos present, Inventing and Re-inventing better Mousetraps. They will first discuss how they take a classic and beloved franchise and reinvent it through innovative execution while holding true to the what core fans love. Secondly, inventing a new blockbuster IP. How to build for the full spectrum of evolving platforms as part of igniting new franchises.

Darrell Gallagher Bio: Darrell Gallagher is the Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics, A Square Enix Company. His experience in working with major franchises has been highlighted through contributions for Square Enix, THQ, Rockstar, and Sony. Prior to his current role, Gallagher served as the Director of Art on Tomb Raider: Underworld, Anniversary, and Legend. His wide range of experience in the industry has allowed him to work in roles covering all areas of game creation including art, design, technology, marketing, and production.

Scott Amos Bio: Scot Amos has 20 years of game development experience and over 25 shipped games of expertise. Scot was most recently an Executive Producer at Visceral Games (Dead Space) prior to joining Crystal Dynamics. His core responsibilities at Crystal Dynamics will be forging a new core team focused on building a new intellectual property.
