Personal Resource

Personal Resources are resources distributed equally to all players participating in the game, and are for every player to spend on personal upgrades and equipment at their own discretion. Unlike
Team Resources, every player has their own pool of Personal Resources, and cannot exceed 100 points; additional resources are distributed evenly among the player's teammates. The addition of Energy and the distinction between Personal Resources and Team Resources are part of the new Resource model overhaul established for Natural Selection 2.
Collection Rate
Personal Resources are generated at a constant rate of 0.25 for every
Extractor or
Harvester each respective team has every 8 seconds. Players also receive excess resources from players whom personal pool of resources exceeds 100.
Before Build 194 "Gorilla" patch, up to 3 Personal Resources are gained upon killing an enemy player. It is currently disabled to further simplify the game.[1]
Use
Due to each player possessing their own pool of resources, they are free to spend the points on whatever they wish. For Marine players, Personal Resources are typically spent purchasing weapons from the Armory, or either Jetpacks or Exoskeletons from the Prototype Laboratory. The Marine Commander also use his Personal Resources to place Med Packs and Ammo Packs for Marine players. In the case of Kharaa players, their Personal Resources can be spent to evolve into stronger lifeforms, or purchase special upgrades or perks from the Evolve Menu. The Gorge also makes heavy use of his Personal Resources placing Hydras and Mini-Cysts to fortify an area.
