yes, as you said, its the last
i wanted the suicide command in a button, not in console, but who cares, posting ideas is useless
no one reads them and normally people agree or disagree. but all this posts, replies and topics are in vain, no one from the team NS reads them( someone prove me wrong ) and not a single of these ideas will be used( only a few exceptions, people that posted ideas that the developers already had )
well i hope the game comes out soon, it will be still great
i only made this account to post ideas, it was too late to realize that what i said before was real
deleting it will be the bestfor all, specially for me(if i haven't done it yet, someone of NS team delete this account)

bind "q" kill

whats with the harsh responses guys?

the idea is fine, but having a suicide button is not really part of the NS story. The marines are highly trained and human life has value, so suicide wouldn't be something thats encouraged.

The kill command isn't a feature of the game, thats probably why its going to stay as a console command, its more of a debugging tool - e.g. if you get stuck somewhere you can use the kill command.

so players used it to kill themselves before and after(until fixed) being devoured by an onos. hence the 3 second delay now.

you can always bind a button to the kill command in the console:
bind "x" "kill"

i think people are being hostile because this guy has posted a ton of 'ideas' which are all less than one sentence of usually senseless garbage.
if you want to post an idea do it with some style, write up a little paragraph or three of why the idea has been suggested, what it brings to the game (in style, substance or fun) and be open to suggestions and debate about the idea.

I have idea, aliens win game by kill marine.

well, i harsh commented because i hate people that do harsh comments
i want to hurt ''harsh people commentators'' by doing them
anyway, i didn't see some dev answering a suggestion
as i said before (if someone has read the other replies) prove me wrong with a link to a topic (or more) and then i will shut up
have a nice day, and stop ''harsh commenting'' killkrazy and trixX
P.S: i didn't thought about ''kill in console'' so stop crying

it is rare that a dev speaks in the suggestions forum. Mostly because as we hash the ideas, most aren't worth implementing, as cool as they may seem.

However, the devs do at least peruse the suggestions. They started this thread a while ago:
http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/in...104340&st=0

Also, they have replied to this thread before:

Don't have time to pull up the exact post.

Max replied to one of my comments in a flamethrower thread (sorry cant find it now), so they definately do check the forums.

if a topic or idea is groundbreaking or innovative, then the dev's will monitor it, and may even reply to it. but bear in mind they are pretty busy at the moment, and have to search through a lot of terrible ideas to find a few good ones worth commenting on.
