You guys frequent other forums, right? So to help spread the word on NS2, anybody with photoshop skills can create a forum signature that any UWE user can use on other websites/forums. Since I have very little photoshop experience I cannot make any but I'm sure some of you here are photoshoppers. We should make it pleasing too the eye with the name 'Natual Selection 2' very clear. Please link the signature back to the Unknown worlds website when you use it. Create as many as you want! Cheers!

Looks good but the bright white text kinda takes the focus away from cory's artwork.

Or should I darken the artwork again but keep the glow out?

I'd keep the dimensions (of at least one version) within that required by these forums. Just because someone might want to use it here and then can't.

just reduce it by 25px in height and lower the quality of the image

Are you suggesting a community sig everyone would use or try to personalize them for each person for greater likelyhood of a hit. I imagine if someone saw 5 different link sigs they are more likely to try one then if they see 5 people with the same one.

Creating one that everybody uses was my original thought, but now the plan is that people can create as many as they want and if a Natural Selection user likes one, they add it too their signature section on another forum.

5min playaround in photoshop.. there's so little material to use since I don't have any renders of Source Models.

I suppose you could combine them into 1 animated gif. CBA doing that though, but if anyone else likes them I suppose then by all means.

Which of these can I use on the Penny Arcade forums? I tried a few and it was saying they were too big.

The reason I ask is because a lot of gamers frequent PA, so I thought I might try it there.

Here is what I found on the signature size requirements:

Cokes sigs will work under those requirements.

EDIT: Infact loads of them would, to test a image just right click it then goto properties and see if it fits.

Charlie, we all know that over the years there's been some seriously talented artists from a lot of genres hanging around n-s.org. Perhaps a mini competition to develop a few with a suitably unique prize from you guys would get you some serious work in a short period of time?

Minimal effort to set up, something suitably unique as a reward for the chosen few as 'officialesque' things, keep to the existing rules of the NS boards (If nothing else, because I think the 'residents' have always appreciated the rules, especially compared to some other forums) and add some guidelines on what is/isn't acceptable, and it's practically free art.

I'll make some for other forums if people give me sizes and like any of the ones I do. I don't really see the point in making them for the UW forums cause we dont really need telling about NS2... do we?

Also, I found the NS2 font in my font file, it's called Trajan Pro and should come with Adobe software... You can find out more about it in the "Font, NS Font" thread. This means everyone can now start doing more offical looking NS2 stuff...
