Unknown Worlds Forums > Natural Selection 2 > NS2 General Discussion

I'm kinda in the middle of playing a game right now, and the issue of NS2 not simply being NS:source came up. I've looked around but can't seem to find where that was specifically explained. I remember it being discussed but can't find it. Could someone help me?

what?

I remember at some point it being explained that NS2 is NOT going to be NS Source. Mainly because they're getting full licensing for the engine, meaning it isn't a mod, and also because there may/may not have significant gameplay changes.

I just can't find where that's at.

Sorry for being abrupt I'm literally in the middle of playing

good old, alt+tab smile-fix.gif

can't tell you where that information is, but i can tell you yes, NS2 will be a stand alone product - meaning you won't need hl2 to enjoy it, but it will cost money to buy it - around $20-30 has been suggested.

I already knew that. I just need to find where it's written down so I can point someone to it.
