If you hadn't prepped this in a twitter I would swear to god you're trolling the community.
In all seriousness I see the function of it, and like the elegance of the electrodes falling off on faster moving targets. Wouldn't have expected it though. R.I.P. Pistol. -------------------- It's not an easy balance to achieve, but we do want to make a game that will be both the best competitive game since Starcraft and also one that many people can enjoy casually without being in a clan or an experienced or knowledgeable NS player. So, what's the distinction between the close range melee mode of the taser, and the welder? Are they the same thing?

I like it. It's different. Knife + Pistol works, but it's the easy way out.

I like the general design but please dont add "stuns" to NS2.. Stuns are pretty damn annoying, look at the WoW childs crying about rogues.. ;)
QUOTE I hope the welder doesn´t do meele damage I hope it does so you can counter the gorgerushes with welderrushes! :D |

QUOTE The knife in NS1 wasn't originally part of the game. I realized early in playtests why most or all FPS games have a melee weapon that you spawn with - when you run out of ammo you need to have a CHANCE to defeat other players. This was magnified in NS1 where you could be out in the field and reliant on another player (the Commander) to give you ammo. So we knew we need a melee weapon in NS2. Does this mean the futur comm in NS2 won't drop any ammos or medpacks ? If so, do you plan on other things to entertain the comm or at least make it a fun/cool/skillfull class to play ? I love the taser, its such a fresh idea with its functions. I just hope the tutorial for NS2 explains everything neatly. Awesome update!

I have a question! Can someone electrify through another persons transponders? would make sense to me
for instance: someone manages to hit a lerk with transponders (suposedly hard thing to do), so everyone near can electrify it at the same time before it falls off. -------------------- |

That was just the explanaition for why they added the knife to NS1. This post has been edited by Razagal: Jul 22 2009, 09:32 PM -------------------- Competitive NS 2003 - 2006
