Hi,

hope someone posts to this forum..

Well, my question goes: How do I make a custom sky or import skies from other mods? I definitely, desperately want a snow "sky" in my map. I found a proper sky in cs but I don't know how to import (?) it.

Right now I have one of my own targa sets but that looks.. ermm.. how should I put it.. bad?

copy the sky textures you want into the "\Steam\SteamApps\youraccount\half-life\ns\gfx\env". Should be 6 *.tga files

Then change the sky at map properties, map --> map properties... Once here you have to know the name of the tga files.

for example "winterskybk.tga" would be called wintersky at envitonment map (cl_skyname). Another exmple would be "winter_sky-bk.tga". In this case you have to use winter_sky- as the cl_skyname... In other words, use only the characters in front of bk,dn,ft,lf,rt,up (back, down, front, left, right,up). They are simple identifiers for the engine to know where to render them on the skybox.
