i was playing some beta today and i kept coming across this bug when you gestate and you get stuck in gestating, it won't evolve. So i had to wait until a marine would kill me and when i respawned i respawned as the alien i was evolving to

If this is ns_, you can type "kill" in the console to kill yourself.

In however many years I've been doing this, I can't ever recall someone getting stuck in egg form. And since the change was made where you need to re-gestate every life in Combat, I have never seen someone spawn as something other then a Skulk without the aid of a plugin.

I'm moving this to Investigation to gather responses, but I really have to believe something beyond standard NS was involved here.
