And keep the HP one, my comp can probably run it at normal speeds if the HL engine can support it.

Err... 65456 faces total. Even the lowpoly cage is over 8k. biggrin-fix.gif

I'll see if I can bake the current materials into usable form or another.

Ahh yes.

Caused by the fact that the clay render is actually an ambient occlusion pass. wink-fix.gif

It's easily chopped down to 3k. Most of the extra faces are there to give shape when subdivided. tounge.gif

Is it just me, or is subdivision not supported in any game engine ... at all ?

Can't say I know of any game engine that supports it.

No engine supports subdivision.

However, the lowpoly version is nearly finished and can be used in NS and Source port whenever it comes out. 3k too bad?

2) What program do you use to model?
3) How much was said program?
4) What tuitorials did you follow to become so freaking awsome o0'
5) *drool*

Nice knife mate, very beautiful. I love the highpoly one. Might see if I can get a conversion and use it as a BahnSaber in Garrys Mod 10- just whip it out, and anyone without a high-end system crashes XD Love it !

I can get a compile done, but there may be clipping on the anims.

1: Nope. The world would BSOD if I ever reproduce
2: 3DSMax 7.1, soon 9.0 (when I get around installing it)
3: Arm and leg. I think they took a kidney too
4: Quite many in the early days. One Atlantic cable actually broke due to the amount of data transferred
5: That's not normal, might want to have it checked out

I know this may be a little off topic, but did you say Max 9? The really need to start working on service packs and not just complete new versions. I am losing a lot of money here sad-fix.gif

They should concentrate on maximizing speed and response time.

There's quite a bit of difference between 7 and 9 in speed. Max7 could handle 500k scene quite nicely but in Max9 I get annoying slowdowns when changing views and so on. And it's not due to lack of CPU power, see sig.
