Hello NS Fans.

I had an epiphany. (ok maybe not.)

So here is what I suggest, Im going to hunt down all the authors of the SC NS materials. I want to make a starcraft community Pack.

The pack will contain-

*Pistol Replacement
*Marine Replacements (HA and Light)
*Khaara Replacements (Hive as well as all player models)
*Sound replacements (Damn near everything except weapons)
*Sprite Replacements
*Background replacements(Background Music and Image)

Thats the overall goal. Did I make any of that? Hell no. Im just putting it together so everyone can enjoy Starcraft NS!
Any suggestions on models, or even better starcraft background music, would be greatly appreciated.

I need models and buildings if anyone has any. I have an Overlord hive and a C-10 Cannister rifle pistol.

Also if any of you beautiful people could show me how to replace the NS background music with music from my Starcraft Directory, please let me know.

Lastly if any of you know who made the Starcraft Soundpack (found here)

then please send me the email or how to contact this individual, as I need his permission.

Nice idea to merge all the released StarCraft Stuff for NS into one single pack.

I dont know who released the soundpack besides the fact, the the soundpacks is created by "Anonymous"(not his nickname or so, unknown person because of missing credits etc) and Blizzard ....

I only have the playermodel replacements....I had everything from NSArmslab before i stopped playing NS for a long time(since then i had to reformat my pc twice, lost all ns custom stuff).

If you wont mind, then I would like to host this pack as a self-extracting rar file and/or exe file(magic of Install Creator Pro omg).
Or you could upload it for yourself on my FileDB(link is in my sig).

Ok, after I gather all of the files I will put them in the right folders and give you the main folder, unless you want me to compile it into a RAR or EXE. Although I don't have a clue, Ill look up the Install Creator Pro, you speak of.

Like I said earlier, im still hunting down credits, if the sounds don't have credits Im just going to credit Blizzard.

Again I stress this, I would REALLY REALLY like some models for weps or Buildings, if there are any. (sides overlord hive rep. and c-10 pistol rep.)

Ill also be hosting this on MaxUnits site as well as a couple of others. Full mirror list will be put up upon release.

Anyway, still waiting on my good friend Olaffe to finish his sprites and that beautiful background in his thread.

Last question if any of you know how to replace background music LET ME KNOW.

that gun the tarren marines use can you model it to replace the LMG and HMG?

lol just look through old threads, this has been atempted literlly 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times.

The only models from Starcraft I know are the ones for the Khaara (including the Hive replacement) and some player models for the NSA Marines.

are you makeing any models or are you just puting all the stuff thats been made in to a skin pack?

Please make sure you credit everyone properly before releasing. If you use the search function you can find who made just about every model/sound up to date.

The gauss gun (gun tarren marines hold) was created a while back in the old forums before the hacking or somthin. it was replacement for hmg. If you can access the old forums, you can find it somewhere there.

Ok now that is out of the way. Its taking so long to release because I am getting proper credits, I just need the credits for the soundpack, zerg models, and overlord replacement, and I will be done and im waiting on the sprite pack.

Now if you could find the Terran Gauss rifle HMG replacement, (WITH A WORKING LINK) I will personally bear your kids.

I'm not very familiar with the half-life 1 model system, but creating replacements from a weapon that already exist...is this do-able with a normal hex editor?

Like opening the NS LMG with the Hex editor and changing some stuff and saving it as the NS HMG? If yes, then i could hex some models and create replacements for other models tho

(the way mentioned above it used with hl2 models xD)

I found it. The Gauss Rifle replaces the HMG.

Also I think I found away to make it a LMG, but im not sure yet.

I hope this helps you in some sort of way. The packs contain all credits in the readme.

the Gauss gun needs new reload animations please try and make new reload animations. it needs the sound from starcraft too. there are not any bugs. also i think you need to make some marine arm models to use for all the weapons.

Those were the first. I am slowly putting every thing together. The pack is still waiting on Olaffe's Sprite pack, but im confident he will be done soon.

As for moddeling? I neither have the time or money to model, I am just putting everything together.

HOWEVER!

I do know a neat little trick and I just converted the Gauss to an LMG. Unfortunatly this caused some problems, the muzzle flash dissapears, and wierdly the reload animation starts everytime you stop shooting, yet it doesnt show it when you rly are reloading. So you just see your number counter go up. Lastly the clip goes through the entire weapon. Dunno why tho, im currently tinkering around for the pack.

OneoftheLost, I could help you with the model bugs you have after renaming the models ....there's an easy way to do the same without getting those bugs.

Go online at msn and let's fix this shizzle up ^^. And i got some other news as well for ya.

i think i can screw around with the animations to make it look right, i just tinkered with the canister pistol and was able to make it be a lmg, the reload animation on it is a little weird

Really loving the look of those 'starcraftified' icons.

ive messed with teh animations to the canister rifle as experiment. I got the animations to work correctly(it as an lmg). least they seemed fine when i tested them in game. would you like me to take a look at the gauss rifle?

the gun really needs new animations.

im going to send you what im thinking about doing for animations.

but hardcore NS fans might get ######. Cause in starcraft the gauss loads from the top. Still its a good idea and may work best considering the circumstances.

i dunno how it loads...i saw a topic while back about that being how its reloaded. But honestly, the current reload animations are interesting

i think it reloads like a m16 rifle the clip goes in the button of the gun.

I could take a look, if there are still apps exist to extract the files from StarCraft like sounds and so on...there were one an app or more...and i would need to find my StarCraft Copy again xD

i bought the dvd from blizzard that had all the cinematics in high res and a bunch of other info... maybe itll shed some light... ill take a look at it by the end of the week if i still need to...

i never liked the gauss rifle ns replacement... just didnt work with me :/.. and for that matter the c-10 rifle either

Anyway the pack is getting ever closer to completion. The gauss and C-10 are being retooled. The c-10 will replace the LMG, while guass will replace the HMG. I have everything all ready, just need the sprites and a few other things, then I will shove it all in a freakin RAR file and release it.
