Yeah... The topic name really just stole what I was going to say about the 3-D Armour model.

Uhm... It was done in Blender: http://www.blender.org/cms/Home.2.0.html

As you can see...
-It has 4584 faces. (Because of a very useful tool called subsurf!)
- And it is still a work in progress
So here it is!

Update! IPB Image

I managed to add a bit more destinct features to the eyes to make it look better. And that was about it.

mmmmmm, Blender. Thats very very very hard program first time

No, blender's just .... bad.
Microscopic_Man
I think Blender is quite good actually. I guess more or less because I can't afford to buy a better more professional program. tounge.gif Yet Blender is a great starting tool no? Well I think so. Especially since im still starting at modelling. smile-fix.gif

Very nice so far. My blender experiences are limited (with my modeling ones).

I love blender though, have any of you seen the short film that was made entirely in Blender?

Considering blenders free, i don't see how you can call it bad?

Looks OK so far but it looks like its melting. You need to make the edges more sharper, to define the shape more. Try adding extra edge loops around some of the edges that are soft. or edge crease them if blender supports that.

Oh yeah, an Elephant's Dream! That was a very crazy movie. I kept on thinking that the machines would rip em apart. confused-fix.gif It now definately makes me question reality. Well, everything does, but thats not the point. It made me think in a different context. Now I think outside of the sphere. (Sometimes.) The voice acting was kinda bad in it though. That was the only real flaw.

And to RSX: I know it looks smooth, thats what subsurf does. It super-smooths everything.

This is the render before I subsurfed it: IPB Image

What i was saying is that, the model looks as tho its losing its shape. If you add more edge loops around the base of the mask for example, you will start to regain more of the shape back.
Microscopic_Man
That is rather odd because I'm trying to follow the image to my fullest extent.

As you can see here: IPB Image

The guidelines match it almost perfectly. Yet I do notice that the image is not perfectly looking forewards, but it's the best image I've got.
Demiguise
he looks oddly sad to me...
Microscopic_Man
It's just the rings around it that makes him sad. They're shaped like he's going to cry.
