not bad, the stock looks a bit short though. maybe make it collapsable/extendable? bulking out the grip under the barrel wouldn't hurt either

I couldn't get the collapsible/extenable stock to look right, so is this a bit better? I'll tinker around with the picture a bit more.

I do quite like 3 and 4, 3 has too much stuff on it, and 4 has too little, maybe a hybrid of both and some other changes to beef up the front of the gun?

Nice concept Sid perhaps make the barrel abit longer? seems abit too short to me.

I tried to make it less Steyr-y (Less curvy), and I bulked up the barrel... not sure if I succeeded on the former.

I would flesh out the area in front of the trigger (the M and S buttons) to look more futuristic. Maybe a few buttons lined along the bottom of a 'gun status' screen? Good concept though, I really like it.

hmmm handless bullpup version looks like it can be made into a shotgun pretty easily... dont see how one would make a pistol though.. unless it was really long.. and weird looking like the doom 3 pistol...

and a grenade launcher... and hmg... who knows.. im just thinking outloud... >_>... through my fingers... about a possible pack...

I'll try making a front/top/back view(s), but I'm telling ya - I'm not too good when it comes to it, not too good at all. As I said, my lame excuse for not doing it is to give the Modeler some artistic freedom, so I'm not telling him "The back looks like that! And the top has a railmount that's exactly 96.2cm to the left." ..Or something.

Remove the carry handle, add sights, and decrease the ###### angle of the magazine (and put it a bit higher up too) (if you're still planning to use that magazine style)

Then it will be easier. Modeling stuff that you draw then see it fully modeled is great, I enjoy it alot. Good luck with making the Assualt Rifle

Like the lmg... Maybe put it on back of the rifle, like on the avenger and assault rifle on perfect dark... it looks so insanely cool...

If I remember correctly, I read somewhere... The TSA are using outdated weaponry by their standards, hence the archaic Sten-lookalike for the LMG. I'll see what I can do, though.

Hey Sid, long time no see.

I decided to do my own edit to your concept (and colored it for no real reason) and came up with this:



I know, my added handle is crappy, but you get the idea: more flowing, less abrupt. Kind of flows with the body of the rifle; after all, in the future, I think rifles and such will have much smoother bodies.

Oh, btw, I used your older pics (the 4-in-1, #3 and #4).

Looks cool! Kinda looks like the XM8.

I think the marines should keep the Marine Blue-Green color on theyr weapons... the way you colored it makes i look like any assault rifle.. Personally i want a rifle i can familyize (A real word?) with... All the weapons in NS looks like they are family. If you changed all the places you have colored green with marine-green or blue. that would mabye have made the assault rifle accepted in the family.

I agree. Whenever I pictured one of my concepts colored, I always picture the washed-out green colour of the TSA.

Gunmetal and black just don't work. :/

Edit: And that's another reason why I try and keep my weapons a little curvy, but mostly "blocky" looking, so it suites with the current load out of the TSA.

Sid: That's the EXACT concept I got that idea from. H&K xM-8 AR.

I just chose those colors because they're closer to the xM-8 itself...

If you'd like to maybe make my idea look better (you're way out of my league), I'll re-color it more TSA style.

Hey, I think your edit looks great! And I'm out of nobodies' league. I can't even colour my own work, heh! Everybody has different styles, and the whole point of a concept is to get the general idea across - it doesn't have to look like the next picasso of firearms. Your concept is great, Spawn.
