Well, I actually drew this quite some time ago. I've been away from the concept scene from quite some time. As usual, edit at will and leave me some suggestions, or tell me what you think.

Feedback is appreciated and welcomed!

receiver is too short - the shell wouldn't even fit in there xD the exposed heatshield looks pretty weird too imo.

Oct 24 2006, 09:24 AM
You could always put the shell in at an angle...

Lawl. Alright.
Give me a bit, I'll see what I can do.

Alright, here we go.
Larger reciever:

And one without a heatshield.

i like the headshield

would be great if it was chunkier, maybe different shaped holes and extend it back to the receiver.

I just had a hectic day trying to get a torjan off of my machine, but I'll be sure to get on it.

Good idea Kaine, thanks!
Alright. How is this? A bit better maybe? I tried to bulk it up a bit.
That does look a little better, would you care to include back and front illustrations?
It could help modeling it alot, in the sense of keeping the shape the artist thought of while drawing this.
Heh, I absolutely suck at front/back illustrations.
I like to use the lame excuse that I'm giving the modeler artistic freedom.

A little better, yes... but something still seems amiss. I'll tinker around with the drawing a bit.
I got rid of that silly venting near the front.
Ratonetwothreetwoone
Nov 7 2006, 05:04 PM
i liked the vents... it seems to me shotguns always lack detail... adding more random lines and gadgets make shotties look a whole lot nicer imo... otherwise the view model just turns into some fugly pole with one or two colors...
default ns shotty is nice... and perhaps an example of what i mean by random details...
Yeah, I'm not very good when it comes to Shotguns, not very good at all.
My shotguns look too modern and lack any kind of detail - I'm really not happy with the final product right now, but don't really know where to go with it... It seems too busy or something, yet at the same time it's lacking... and I can't add or fix it with suggestions because I'll just make it more busy.
But if you have a good idea, by all means - *please* edit the picture if you want - I really don't mind people editing my drawings at all.

So go for it - fire up photoshop.. PSP.. gimp.. even MS Paint! It's been done before.

- Even if you're just trying to get a general idea across.

Bottom cylinder must be larger than the shell that fits in it.
Sid
Jan 11 2007, 10:37 PM
-Expanded the bottom cylinder
-Added a [crappy] Ammo counter. (I haven't played NS in ages... I even forget how much the shirtgun holds!)

Handle section looks a bit anemic and the angle of the setup there doesn't look comfy at all!
Maybe expand the size of the heat-shield so the entire top 'tube' is uniform in width? what about hexagonal holes instead of the rectangular ones?
http://world.guns.ru/shotgun/sh19-e.htmThat link is to a Benelli M4 Super 90, check out the pistol grip on that.
