Why do all its parts look like they were skinned by different people? It's a nice model, but its skin doesn't quite work.

I wonder if people even understands that that model is made by REDDmonkey (even though the readme states it). 
But about the skin; not bad, not too good either. It's just a variation of those 3 skins which were on the original release of the hi-poly lmg. You could have went for something more original.

its a recreation of the default lmg....shouldnt I skin it like the default lmg? I skinned it in all gray and added the colours of the default. And if you mean varition of the other 3 as in I just edited those, no I did it all myself. I'm sure they all like similiar cause we tried to re-create the default.

Im still awaiting on one that actually reminds me of the original skin.

Grizzly's is easily the most convincing/best skin imho. just has that bit of polish that makes the model look natural.
reskin the high poly pistol then...
