I suspect this can be fixed, since CS will run properly with S&D running.
When the Spybot S&D resident is running on the taskbar, Natural Selection will not start, and gives an error stating that the registry is already in use. As stated above, this error does not occur in CS, DoD, TFC, or any of the other mods I have.

I've moved this to the Bug Investigation forum so you can reply. What version of S&D are you running, and if you would, please give me exact reproduction steps, since I was able to start NS fine with Spybot running this morning.

I also run fine with the Spybot Resident running, as well as MS AS. I will try with the full client running later.

Version 1.4..
As for reproduction:
1) Start the spybot S&D resident
2) Start NS (or try to)
Tada.

Updating to 1.4, will report in a few secs.
EDIT: Not reproducible on my computer, NS starts up normally.

Perhaps you should reinstall Natural Selection or S&D? I did not create a backup of the registry when I installed 1.4. Perhaps that is your problem? Either way, this isn't a bug, I think it's more of a tech support thread. If more cases appear, I'd log it as a bug.

Out of curiosity Krad, how do you have S&D setup in terms of backing up the registry? I ask because I know its configurable and if you have it set so it does a backup before any changes, that could be the cause of the problems.
It's probably also worth noting (read: speculating) that it's entirely possible that CS, DoD and other official content are working for you because they don't use Registry Entries like NS does because of how the games are installed (NS via a traditionally downloaded .exe, and CS & DoD via Steam as .gcf dealies).
