Basicly what im trying to do is to run a seperate application to the server.

what this application will do is control the server and perform tasks such as:

• Lock/unlock the server
• Change the password
• Start a new map

as well as monitoring whats going on in the server
such as

• What people are in it
• what maps playing

it is preferable to be able to do this using a language in the .net framework (vb/c#/vc++) since that's mainly what i know.


so, question of the thread, is this possible. If so does anyone know of any resources on this topic?

i relise this isn't exactly a scripting question but unfortunately there isn't a 3rd party applications board so here will have to do.

thanks, but its not about just doing it, its more of a id like to know how to do it myself with my own code kind of thing instead of using someone elses.

im not trying to do anything to fancy.

so far i can get it to start up the server and monitor everything that appears on the console, i just need to get it to pass commands to the console as well.
