Anyways i wanted to throw out some opinions of mine about 3.0.4 balance but i don't really believe i should be posting in the competitive forums since i have little experience in a 6vs6 format. So i decieded to throw them up here.

gimps to the aliens:
-armor should not improve with hives
-decrease alien innate regeneration to 1%
-slightly nerf metabolize (about 85% as effective as it is now)

buffs to aliens to slightly compensate:
-carapace should give skulks 22/33/45 armor

this would cause 2 things

1. aliens wouldn't be as dangerous second hive because their armor isn't buffed up automatically.
2. defense chamber would be a viable 1st or 2nd hive choice because of the nerfs to innate regeneration and buff to skulk armor.

Problems that could arrise from this:
1. onos being further gimped (poor onos)
2. carapace skulk rushes

anyways just some thoughts i wanted to throw out there, anyways if theres anything you want to add, dispute, agree with, flame or whatever go for it tounge.gif

how bout no inate regen is small enougt as is

Mchief, thanks for giving constructive critisicm. I actually think this is a goood idea, dcs should be buffed a small bit.

alright i like the idea, your reasons have convinced me enough.

DCs definitely require a buff right now, and this idea seems to address all the causes. innate regen... fades using metabolize.... while at the same time keeping the current state of balance (not that ns is very balanced). and there won't be a problem with oni with their complete overhaul i guess. but that has to wait
