im having trouble running a server on my comp, i have 2 computers i whant to set the other up to run a ns server,and what do i need?
i think i have managed to run a dedicated server but i cant see to find it nor connect to it it there a way to see the ip???
i got a zyxel ruter!

i tryed that i still get "not responding", im trying to run the server online do my ruter change the ip???

You don't need a SteamID but you still have to create an account.
so i have to innstall steam on the server to run a win32 server?

You install your hlds, then install Steam, register your Steam account (no cd required), update the hlds, run the half-life game to ensure all is installed and updated, then install NS. This of course is the simplified version but if you click on my link above and view Vadakill's turorial all will go smoothly.
The made a change to the process for setting up dedicated servers. You no longer need an account to download the dedicated server files for Windows or Linux.
I have a nice guide here for new windows admins, it'll help you get off the ground. Anything other then that I'm sure the guys on the boards will be willing to help you out.
