Hi,
Im new to NS, and was going to try out the NS Training. But i cant hear a word this guy is saying. The sound stutters. The bg-music in the menu also does that. Sound effects are fine. I have updated my drivers and my comp running smoothly.
Thanks in advance for a soulution,
Sipko
(If your going to point me out that i should have tried the search, i did, it didnt work. Sorry for any of the spelling mistakes, but i guess you understand what im saying.)

NS training?
I didn't think NS had any kind of training...
Anyone know what he's referring to?
I don't know why your sound is stuttering. If sound effects in the game work, though... no major problems. =P

NS training is a unofficial training map posted in the newplayer forum:
http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index....showtopic=90930I noticed that mp3, or what ever the music files are, are stuttering. (and also the comments in ns-training, like i said before.)
But i guess i'll learn by playing it online. Only part is that i realy suck, what is kinda **** and makes me want to quit, but then again it is a fun game. I only manage to kill when im a Marine. And when I am a marine i have trouble killing the freaky fast aliens, but when i am a alien the mariens kill me in a snap. But thats just me i guess. (so let me now stop this nonsence, bacause no one really cares.)
thnx for your reply typical skeleton. I allready tought nobody would and have giving up hope to a anser to my question.
(srry for any spelling mistakes, i know i suck @ englisch)

Yeah, that's just a random thing with mp3s in the HL engine on low-end machines. It happens to me, too, at any rate.

Ah well, practice, practice, practice.
But really, NS has two different skill "values" (IMO).
Killing skill, and tactical skill. I know this isn't the forum for it, so I'll keep it brief.
But having a bad score or dying isn't always a bad thing in NS. For skulks, it's sometimes tactically advantageous to suicide, such as for a diversion, distraction, or to delay marines.
Same with the marines. Sometimes scouting, RT hunting, etc, invariably gets you alone, outnumbered, and without ammo, but if you got two RTs... then it's worth it. May not look good on the scoreboard, but it could help you land a win.

Thanks for your advice, I'll try to keep that in mind.
