1.0 idea from mchief

every body got on vote towards a evolution stratigy , went something like this

movement

sensory

defence

every one could select an option and if there was a tie the points where removed for a minite or so ( the hive mind had confused it self was my theroy)

and the for mentioned selectives did the following

movement = if this was selected all life forms got a 25- 35 % boasts in spead

defence = if this was selected all life forms got 25-25% extra life

sensory = if this was selected you only had a 50% chance to decloak when attacking

and now the addition..

ok after going over the idea in 1.0 i figured that finaly having an extra 75% hp was over powered( put mildly) so im rewriting this idea to have i pick the chamber that the team wants, you would have a little icon similar to the one the hive has at the top of your screen and it would show the currently requested chamber

addon idea = the requested chamber could cost 2 res less that norm ( 8 res)

I like you idea till that...

Why?

The idea is good, excpet for the 2 less res thing. That would make things worse. We all know that everyone goes for DC first anyways. So why make it even easier to get 3 within a minute of game start? Good games for aliens always start with 4 people going gorge, 3 dropping DC's and one dropping an rt, then 3 going skulk, and one staying fluffy.
Mchief
just why it was an addom as in can be taken off

whoa man the days of dc first have been long gone.

Yea i seldom see anything but movement nowadays...

I still think the reduction of the number of upgrades would be a loss for NS, but it would be kinda cool it they upgraded at each hive to be more powerful, but had to gestate again for each hive level of an ability they wanted to take.

actually everyone goes for SC/MC nowadays... but back on point

the request chamber thing will definitely help teamwork and organization in pubbies for aliens so i agree with the idea. however, this won't help competitive ns since teammates usually discuss their strategies beforehand, but that dosen't really matter

oh and the requested chamber being cheaper by 2 res thing is not going in, reasons are probably obvious. i mean would the aliens actually want to vote against one another and risk losing that 2 res? they would just agree over teamchat and then select one of the chambers so they still get the 2 res advantage although they originally disagreed on the chambers. so they vote over teamchat rather than the voting system, thus rendering the idea useless.
Mchief
ok no cost reduction, better now
Zunni
mchief can you edit your first post, or PM me what was contained in the 1.0 document so I can add it here and look at it as a complete idea??

Thanks!

beta 5, actually. beta 6 was the constie-only beta version of 3.0f, it was the first to break DMS.

It's pretty good, but I think the sens upgrade you're suggesting is useless. When you attack, you usually bite/swipe/gore/whatever multiple times. The chances of staying cloaked through all that are slim. I would rather see something like a higher percentage cloak when moving at high speeds (like reducing 30% vis at max speed to 15-20%).

Ooow OOow let me

ok so start of game before timer goes off alien choose chamber they dotn have to and so on, if that chamber is built, the first chamber of that time cost 2 less rez, this is a big step to geting people to agree i like it,

now i dont want to take out any of the current upgrades

but if these percs you you say are they for only the first hive chamber, and no other chamber, or are they for all hives, but only buyable for the first 5 minutes of that hives life, reguardless of the chamber, as a result gets players to build new chambers strait away

*points at rez **** "yes you mob pay up i want my 50% chance to not uncloak" and i wanted it three patches ago
