Well what I posted in your other map thread
ns_msiege-rc4 would also apply here. And howcome siege is no detail or atmosphere.
I just don't get it why this map concept always has to be acompanied by low detail/atmosphere maps

I mean have a look at
SgtBarlow's siege map It looks good has good atmosphere and doesn't violate the HL1 engine with bad vis or high r_speeds.
I think the siege map concept could be nicer if the maps would be better, visually and technically wise and maybe be acompanied with a good story which would fit the siege concept...

if its a siege map, it should really say 'siege' somewhere in the mapname

yes it is a siegemap. this one was the housemap on my old ns server "space cow ranch" (siege-maps only).

i just played it a few hours ago, and i have to say its terrible. aliens dominate in this one, and marines dont stand a chance. plus all the marines spawn in those glass pods, and its easy for gorges to get an oc stuck on the door, or just camp outside the pods and get free kills.
and talk about texture misalignment and strechage, it just overall looks bad.

this map is a 20 player max design or you downt have enough res for all rines or updates.

Have you seen the crap MrRadicalEd was making? Holy, I swear it easily puts most NS_ maps to shame.

When Kouji says violate, I think he is undertranslating and as a result has come up with a weaker word when he actually meant RAPE.
Everyone starts with **** or basic maps. You could probably find ways of making this map more playable/enjoyable if you take a look through other advice given on these forums.

Oi don't twist my words!!! Violate is indeed a weaker word, but I choose it over rape, since rap is bad hmmkay

...but try to defend the dbl res room before rine start and drop some turrets it works wonders
