What's the point of HAs in combat? The extra armor is nice, but with that many Oni running around, heavies just can't do anything. I've played games where half the team got HAs, and a few oni turned the tables too fast to even respond.
For every onos there is, that's a nullified HA. And when HAs become popular, all the former blinkers decide to go onos, making the HAs even more worthless.
Marines win all the time with GLs and JPs, but once you even try HAs, you might as well give up. HAs are only for fun-- something to try if you don't care about winning. I've seen heavy trains done pretty well in CO, but they fail in the end.
I love NS. I've played it since the time fades got acid rocket with the 2nd hive, and jetpacks were the equivalent of flying. CO just boils my blood.
BTW, is there any way to get a Gorge plush?

mmmmm the good 'ole HA rush in co games... its pretty fun. but i know what you're talking about. I dont understand why people get HA in co other than to guard base from the lerk spores and focus skulks.

I go HA when I have friends with JPs and want to absorb ridiculous amounts of damage. It's a great counter for focus fades, you simply need JP cover to take care of onos.

Lol I'll remember that.
Go HA in order to preserve the circle of life. I would feel just awful if I was responsible for some poor starving onos.

I use HA when the server has extra upgrades - i.e. self welding Nanoarmor

Isn't nanoarmor better for flying JPs who don't get hit much anyway?
Whether you get HA or JP depends much on the aliens' ability in killing JPs - if aliens have uber fades that can kill flying JPs or if there are lots of webs, then I guess better get HAs. If a JP can get to the hive and through a couple of grenades at it, go JP.

heh. Here's a suggestion, have you ever tried going HA, getting Armor 3 and Weapons 3 and getting resupply and only using a knife? It's perfect for killing skulks, lerks, and gorges, the most numerous CO aliens.

Do weapon upgrades even effect the knife?

Just luv that its so sweet! And sadly getting those 2 skulk combos quite often the "hacks!" start to fly. That is compared to spitgorge.
How do you guess knifeha vs spitgorge?
I would say that gorge gets him down with cele and focus.
