Lots of people have a hard time entering vents from the first try, especialy ppl who got jet-packs.
I have though of an simple way to make the entering vent process easier for every one...
As you may have noticed, most vents do not touch the seeling nor the floor, there is a fair space between the vent, and the seeling or the floor.
By replacing that empty space with a small ramp with an angle leading into the vent, the player would get pushed into the vent if he is moving forward and touching the ramp

Surely even the smallest ramp would block the person/alien from entering/exiting the vent from the sides. This is clipping insane !
Interesting idea though.

getting into vents is something you learn, and occasionally fail at doing. this adds a certain amount of randomness to the game, it can make it suspensful, or entertaining. such as a jetpacker having low fuel and needing to hit a vent the first try or falling victim to an onos's devour.
having some stupid vent "wing" hanging out to help people get into vents just seems a bit silly.

Agree, some vents could be easier to get in.
is it a skulk or a fliing saucher?

This is a mapping request, but most people don't have too many problems getting in/out.. It's a skill to hit a vent and slip right inside.. Keep practicing and you'll get it soon

this is relly the mappers choice if they want to do this..
its not that hard to get in a vent anyway
