Full Version: Cloak Bug

| Well today, i was a hive 3 cloaked onos... and i use fastswitch.... I noticed when switching between weapons....and holding the walk button (to stay cloaked) you momentarily speed up...... I was unsure of whether i was becoming more visible for that second I took it a step further, and began spamming devour/gore with fastswitch on and holding crouch and forward..... Doing this i was able to essentially go at Full running speed while holding the walk key.... On a map i managed to do this gimpy "run" past several marines without them shooting me.... I then asked the comm who was a buddy of mine if he could see my MT signature as i did this gimpy run around a room.... He told me NO I cant be positive that i was still fully cloaked (not 30 percent) while doing this, but since they didnt react to me as i went by i assume not..... but i positively WAS NOT on mt.... :-\ Here for you to see if maybe this was a fluke or if its reproduceable as i was not able to reproduce it due to not achieving enough res to go onos within the next few games (in hindsight it might work with other aliens.... but oops) How to REPRODUCE: 1. Get Cloaking, have Fastswitch on, and weapons binded 2. hold walk and forward, and spam some weapons (i used devour and gore slots) and u will move at almost full speed... and (possibly) be fully cloaked and not on MT EDIT: Tested it further.... Onos moves at running speed with this method and WILL uncloak to 30 percent, but WILL NOT show up on motion tracking... despite his speed.... ~Jason |
This seems to be kinda bad so i moved it out of the open bug forum. Im a tad drunk, and i have work in the morning so i cant check it out now or follow it up. Ill do it after work tomorrow if someone doesnt beat me to it.
Oh yeah, tried repeating thsi already. Couldnt get it to work. Scratch that.
