Tribe of Judah has re-opened its Natural Selection server!

Tribe of Judah is best known for hosting Counter-Strike servers that promote respect for other players and good sportsmanship. Tribe of Judah, a Christian gaming community, was established in May 1999 as a Starcraft clan and has since expanded to include chapters for several popular online games. Tribe of Judah's Natural Selection server offers a friendly environment for Natural Selection players of all skill levels.

For IP address and other server information, read the Tribe of Judah Natural Selection Server FAQ.

For more information about Tribe of Judah's Natural Selection sub-chapter, read the Tribe of Judah Natural Selection Sub-chapter FAQ.

And please tell your friends about our server! If you're willing to follow a few simple rules while playing on our server, we want you to come out and have fun with us!

Welcome back!

Although I am a heathen biggrin-fix.gif , I used to hang out with Jettclan.net a while back until NS was born. Still good peeps.

It is sometimes very refreshing for me to visit these servers to get away from the "Pubness"

UPDATE: Tribe of Judah staff members recently discovered that our dedicated server hosting company, ServerBeach, had changed their Terms of Service to allow hosting of adult content without notifying their customers. Our server operator immediately pulled our servers offline and canceled our account with ServerBeach as Tribe of Judah refuses to support a company that hosts pornographic web sites.

We are currently searching for a new dedicated server hosting company and will soon begin a fundraising campaign seeking donations from our members. Please watch the Tribe of Judah news page for news concerning the return of ToJ game servers.

Actually, it turns out 1&1 doesn't allow adult content on their servers. We've selected 1&1 as our next dedicated server hosting company; now we just need to raise $813 for the setup fee and first six months of hosting.

Sad, but true. I had several problems taking our server live with AMX Mod X and several plugins. Clan Zion appears to have done away with their NS server. The only active Christian NS server that I know of is the one run by Christian Team Servers at 70.85.18.221:27015.

So, right now, I'm working on a letter to potential sponsors as its not feasible to expect members to cover the $119/month expense for a dedicated box. A ToJ member contributed a temporary CS server, but we're still without an NS server.

You can't seriously believe that the largest hosting company in Europe, who hit the US market by offering freeing webhosting for life, and currently offers webhosting for as little as $2.99 per month doesn't have porn on their servers?

I called 1&1 support twice (first call to get a test server IP address, second call to ask more questions) and both support representatives confirmed that 1&1 does not allow adult content.

Also, section 4.1.8 of 1&1's Terms & Conditions clearly states that pornographic content is not allowed:
QUOTE
you agree not to post or transmit any unlawful, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, obscene, offensive, indecent, pornographic, profane, or otherwise objectionable information of any kind, including without limitation any transmissions constituting or encouraging conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any local, state, federal or international law, including without limitation the U.S. export control laws and regulations, and laws protecting intellectual property including copyright, trademark, trade secret, misappropriation and anti-dilution laws;

I know it's surprising, but it's true. smile-fix.gif
