over the past few days, the voice i hear from other players starts messing up. it's fine for a while, but then their voices that im recieving cut out completely. they show up as talking on the screen, but i dont hear anything. its not them because when it happens, i cant hear anyone, and they can talk to each other just fine. i can transmit just fine also. i have no idea what is happening. i think all the times it's happened, i was in the comm chair, im not sure tho. any ideas?

i am also suffering from this problem, however i was on foot as rine - also all sound stopped when they talked, except a crackle, ther mics are usually fine to me on my server :S

are you telling me me that NOONE knows how to fix this problem?

Getting in/out of the Comm chair frequently messes up comms. This has been known since before 1.0. Most likely there's nothing that can be done.

i rarely ever comm, cos i cannot do it period. so its not that, there must be antoer cause/reason? - do u think a reinstall would help or is it not client side?

If it's only happening to you, then it's most likely client-side. Try re-installing, although I doubt this would fix it. Make sure your sound drivers are up to date, update everything, etc.

It's very unlikely (not impossibe) that this actually is server-side though...

but others are suffering the same prob on the server...

For anyone that has a creative soundcard, you might want to try installing KX Project, a free audio driver that fixes many problems with creative's standard releases.

I was having trouble with my mic and recording playback and these drivers fixed the problerm. Maybe you should try them out.

i reinstalled NS and it seems to be working fine now :-)

but only untill i reboot again, and it **** up argh this is really **** me off! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!
