I use MSPaint for everything. It's how I create such beautiful images. Such as my avatar (the stickman not the animation <3 drubo)

I usually find some people use a source image (that they hopefully made themselves), crop it, downsize it, rotate it, etc... Until they have what they want.
Photoshop is a definite need. If you need, just ask here - someone (or me) will make you a signature. Just say what you want in it!

I probably need to work on the sig but it's kinda hard to get much detail when it can only be 75 pixels tall
Also, Linux symbolic links for the win
Makes it so much easier to change avatar/sig without updating several forums.
