That's pretty good - I'm assuming you opened up HLMV and took screenshots every frame or so?

Yes. The only problem is optimization. GIMP supposedly optimizes GIF files a bit better than Photoshop, but I don't know exactly how to use it. The amount of colors on the skulk is around 14. For Lordy's signature it was a bit more, because there were only nine frames of the Lerk (12 or so for the Skulk).

OH PLZ.
You're all braggin about your leet sigs. Now make this one and I'll believe you. Take the vespa gorge in my avatar and make an animated heated race on an indy style track with the tailing gorge pulling a banner with my name on it. Show me your leet skills.

Hmm... Might be a little big or have low quality if you want it animated, because of all the different frames required for the track. I'm thinking though, take the excite bike track, take the Gorge, and change the vespa colour for each (RGBY). Then, just make them race along the track!
If it's a stand-still one though, it'll be much easier... I'll have a go at it from today to Wednesday, but I have to do my CPT tonight and tommorow... And I'm going to my uncle's cottage for 2 weeks after Thursday... So that's not good... But I'll try...

go into "optimize" view, and then select the whole "transparent" area with the magic wand tool. (this is for imageready). then, go back to the original view, and then create a layer under the transparent area. fill that layer under it with a dark color, done.
alternatively just save as a png file
Youll note that I have one PNG and one GIF. Every way I've tried saving it, its there. There ARE no white pixels there either, I've checked that multiple times.
same old avatar just private coleman did me a favor and recolored the backround to match the forum color.

Very nice, the qualioty isnt all that great though. Looks like what happens when you save a JPG in MS Paint...

all made it ms paint which took bloddy ages, but i think it was worth it
the background is made to match the other forums skin.
it seems my ms paint skills have failed me,
if someone could cut the head out of the, make the background transparent, and make it avatar size it would be much appreciated

I like it too, I love grunge-style things.
I think I'm in order for an avatar/signature update...
This is what my current sig/avatar is...
And that's the new one I'm going to use.

OttoDestruct, your avatar hurts my eyes with that white background... You should change it to the forum background color (or I can do it if you want).

Not really, all I have to do is rotate it and scale it down. I may make it fade into the forum background colours also, but I'll have to do that tommorow.

It's actually the left side, I flipped the image so it would look better.

How the hell do you guys make such beautiful sigs?? My best attempt would make my current one look like a turner prize winner...
I guess having photoshop, or a paint program other than mspaint would help somewhat...
