Well, got a map from a server and got no minimap with that.
Tried (after opening a server by myself) with buildminimap, createminimap, nothing happened. Searched this forum for minimap and mini map, found nothing.
Can anyone tell me the command for creating a minimap?

You need to have sv_cheats set to 1, then buildminimap in console will work (you should see a progress bar at the bottom of the screen).

How exactly would it work? What does it do?
when you are creating maps, you use that command to get minimap.
Or if you download a map from a server and there's no RES file.

It only works with cheats on because its incredibly CPU intensive, and it's not something you really want running while you are also trying to play.
And it creats minimaps the way they are supposed to look? (blue, with darker or lighter spots denoting height?)

It's acutally the tool the mappers use to create minimaps. Honestly, I don't want to draw a minimap from scratch by myself. Editing: ok. But from scratch...
