the imported model consists only of polies that are not linked.
in 3dsm: convert to -> editable poly -> vertex mode -> select all verticies -> weld (0,1) -> done

im currently trying to import some smds in 3dsmax because i want to render another wallpaper.

on my last one all those models looked really "boxy" confused-fix.gif (i imported the smd with "SMDImporter" a n additional script for 3dsm)

now i read something about "importing messes with smoothing groups" and tried to export in 3ds from milkshape instead of importing smd directly.

looks much better but i am missing the bones to adjust the model correctly in 3dsmax.

anyone got an idea how to fix this?
