Hey, I've been trying to figure this out and posted this the day before the forums went down

I'm starting up a new server and I have searched and searched for an example .cfg from ns, as well as a complete list of the ns-specific cvars. I've read the one on the these forums, but I highly doubt that is up to date, or complete. I also need to find a complete list of the standard HLDS cvars.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The NS server should come with a default server.cfg file in the root directory. For explainations of each one of these cvars check out the guides in my sig; I explain the most common ones you'd find in a server.cfg.

On a similar note, many of the common pool HL server cvars really shouldn't be messed with unless you are really sure you know what you are doing. Changing a cvar without fully knowing the consequences can ruin the quality of your server.
