CAL just started the fifth season of Natural Selection and NS has continued to grow, slowly but, consistently. Preaseason matches are being held this week and next week. But, its never to late to start a team. Go get six players and help NS grow its competietive field. If any new clans require assisstance, there are plenty of clans around willing to donate their time to better another player's experience.
Back on track, theres a couple new and reformed clans to look out for this season. Anyone have some predictions about who will be taking the CAL championship this season?
After all, we've got to start this forum some how and theres much love to Flayra for including one.

Well there will be two different divisons most likely again because we tried 3 and it failed pretty bad before. Delta (The elite you can say) and Omega (The light the beginning). Even though the divisions havent been chosen I can speculate who's going to be in each.
Well for Delta im going to say around 4 teams have the potential to be champeens. Terror could be one but they need their best roster on to put a huge dent on the other teams. Exigent although not as good as they used to be still have the talent to pull off many wins. Than theres Xensity aka sU with a few different people who have shown a lot of talent. Than theres Reflect who has also shown a lot of skill either tieing or beating some of the top teams.
For Omega, well theres quite a few teams out there. Umm from the look of it im going have to say that either Obscure or Moment Of Impact would most likely win their division.

What I would really like to see is a bunch of new clans signing up on cal, get your communities together and start one. Get your friends together and start one. Grab some random people off a pub and start one.
Even if you don't think you will stand a chance, give it a shot, you might surprise yourself.

And don't give up. Clanning is a commitment and does require practice ( to be good ), patience ( to get good ) and a good amount of time if you plan on taking it seriously.

Thats Nem0's way of saying that othell is a former cal-admin (and a former memeber of team pandas iirc, or was that brad?) that left the competative NS scene, but who keep on occuring at random ocations.

I only got to change my name because the "|" around the "ds" were not compatible with the new naming scheme. I didn't just want dsmeatshield, especially since it's been a long time since I was in ds, and since everyone with a conflict was offered ao ne-time chance to change name, I did.

I have changed my mind on the Omega Champeenship. I believe Fex will win it. They have an Aussie and thats like tons of kudo's!
I was talking with a fex member today and he said he didn't know why they bothered joining cal there was better competition in new zeland. I said better than terror? he said yes.
I don't believe Terror is all that magnificant as they were before. Im sure Xen could take them on pretty easily.
But if the competition is that good down under I think we should start playing in their leagues dispite the 200+ ping while trying to play on a NZ server. hah

I always ask teams if they are Aussie and the one guy said he was. And Aussie have a cool accent and I like Kangaroo's.

Playing seriously in CAL is crap because you have to put up with wildly fluctuating pings while playing against people with <100 pings.
Ever wondered why a lot of the top CS teams refuse to play on servers with >40 ping or don't even play online? Because ping has a HUGE impact on gameplay. A skilled clan can easily lose to a lesser skilled clan just because they have a ping difference of 50 ms.
Main reason why you don't get many Euros in CAL, anyway.

othell was an honarary member of pandas because every other cal-admin was.
