If we can get enough people to come to good ol' Oregon for a LAN.

Any way you cut it I would like to actually MEET some of the people that own me like a pair of tube socks. So if we get enough people to come play it will happen.

Price:$10

Date: Mid/Late May2005(still deciding, Cartman2b is coming in mid May, and we don't want to LAN without him!)

Where: Oregon(exact site will depend on # of people but either in Salem or Portland)

Time: All day, till people pass out on the floor/go home

The last time we had a LAN we ran into this problem so before anyone asks we will have a nerd free zone for the people who don't want to PWN some NUBS, but still want to surf the web or read or what not.

I'd love to come 'cause I love FFT, but it's be a really, really long drive, and I'm not sure my baby can take it. He's just a little car, and so far the longest trip he has been on was 4.5 hours.

*Edit* Portland would take 45 minutes off of the drive for myself and most likely others coming from the East, but after a 41 hour drive, I don't think it would make much difference.

I need to find a few more drivers to rotate, and then it'd all be good. (Oh yeah if I can get a week off of work.)

I would so go to that if I get a new car and classes are over. Shoot, I would even kidnap some friends andtake them with me. Show y'all how gaming is done in the Lone Star State!

Stupid damn exams.. The LAN might be pushed to early June but i'll have to get a list of exam dates before we get a definate date. Don't blame me.. blame the UK education system.

We have many attendee's coming along. But the date is changing.. an official date will come along soon once i get my exam timetable.

Now the new forums are up and i have a clean account. I can begin taking in names on who wants to attend. If you're interested, just give me a forum PM. It'll make it easy for me to create a list on whos going and what the clan needs space wise to rent a building to hold the event.

Is there a minimum number of people you are aiming to get to attend? Just thinking that if you do not have a very high turnout, if you would still plan to have tournaments. Its nice to have NS tournaments every once in a while, but they can get destroyed if there aren't enough teams to play.

I was planning on attending, but then a bunch of money just went down the drain which I didn't expect. If there is anyone else going to drive from the Edmonton, AB area, my chances of coming greatly increase.

Beware the Ides of March

We have a Logo and a tenitive date: June 11th & 12th. Our target is now officaly 100+ players. we may adjust this number upward.

We will formaly announce the date in 2-4 weeks as well as launch a website with full info. We wil start takeing reservations at that time.

I'm still looking for NS players in the Oregon/Southern Washington area to work with. If you want to help an or set-up events or servers Pm me.

11th-12th is great, since that's right after finals week

Just for the record, I really would love to get to this lan. Origionally I was planning on driving, but a sweet opportunity for me to be able to apply to make 4k this summer came up, and as a poor college student, I can't turn down that opportuinty. So if I get this job I would fly, if I don't I'll drive and try to fill my car with able bodied drivers so the good 41 hours driving time it will take will be divided up more.

As far as flying goes: Apparently the only close airport is in Portland, so if the LAN is in Salem would I be able to get a ride from Portland?

The flight I am thinking about would get me there at 11 pm on the 10th, and I would leave at 6:31 pm on the 12th (because I have a training session to be at in the morning on the 13th).

This would be so crazy, but normally my summers are very boring.

*edit* if this lan was earlier in June, or later in May it would make things much easier.

Man I would love to go, but unfortunately driving from NJ is unreasonable, and flying is out of the question (too much $$$) Anyways I hope this takes off, have fun with it.

Ooooh, Ill be in the states from the 4th or 5th, in Kentucky tho but my hosts mum wants to take us to see things all over the USA so if we are nearby....

I'll go. I'd love to have a LAN of NS with some skilled people, the main reason being that I can be reasonably sure that no one's hacking, and maybe get some skill tips.

Slap a date down onto the table and force everyone to adhere to it would be my idea.

I live up north of portland by probably 4 hours, I'm on the Washington State peninsula. I'd be happy to drive someone else if they need it, but my car is tiny.
