i dont want to hear any "olol boobs" **** in here,this is a bodyarmor and not a tshirt.
its comon sense they apear a bit bigger than they are.
proof ive really considered for some weeks not to post this here..
because of the immature and ignorant nature of some community members.

correctly,thats why some artifacts apearing that lo
ok like face errors..
its just from the crappy texture. mostly just materials applied. the utility belt isnt finished.


added some custom gimmicks ,
like this status display..so you could see your armor status even when you got your visor opend...
ive also moded the light marine armor a lil bit..
still much work to do. lots of clipping errors to fix
i dont want to post any more high res pictures here..so
Heres the link to some test renders ive done in the progress of modelling nancy, they are not sorted or anythingthats more 56k friendly. but if you like any of those wip shots,or if you have any questions, feel free to post that picture in your reply

Haha, both are great. I'd use them.
And those eyes aren't that large, Saltz. They're on par with the eyes in Sims 2, which are slightly exaggerated so they can be expressive and actually seen.
Big would be about double that size

very nice, loving the pistol that you can see in the first render ^__~. Did you use nurbs modelling for this, sheena? I need to take a look into that method sometime. I'm modelling a high poly marine at the moment too :E though its not this good.

It's really good, but why the breast plates?

Generally, you barely notice a girls boobs under armor, no matter how pretty she is.
I don't see why there needs to be "sex appeal" with something like a video game charecter when the marines themselves are just your standard marine grunt models, they don't have cod plates or anything, lol

Awesome work, I just can't wait till you finish it. No crits, but the legs seem to be "wide", could be the armor pads though. Keep it up.

its mixed nurbs,box and poly modeling
and the ns marines have thicker chestplates...they are just textured and not modelled...
AND EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT FEMALE ISRAELI SOLDIERS HAVE

Dont you mean its a fitted set of body armour rather than a single mass manufactured piece.
Very nice renders cant wait to see the model ingame, it might kill a lot of peoples pc's though.

first - great work!! very nice!! I like it to 99% ! just change the color of the complete suit (like the standard rines have it) and she's perfect =)

ah, i'll look into nurbs soon then, i can just about do the other two methods

Well, solid armor would have to use some method of leaving enough room there, or it would produce unnecessary discomfort - which would be differently practical depending on the material. It seems implied that the material in this case is remotely elastic, seeing as how large plates are used that would be cumbersome if absolutely solid (you wouldn't want a single solid plate forming a ring around your torso, unless you're masochistic and never plan on taking it off).
As for the eyes, I find it creepy, but each to his own anatomical incorrectness.
Edit : Oops, knew I forgot something - the headgear needs a bit of detail. Unless you're going for the 8ball look.

the color is temporary like i said... ive chosen a dark grey, because its better for my eyes, it gives a better contrast. i cant start texturing without completed model. and the helmet will be replaced later. and Quanaut, isnt that little TSA lingerie fanservice enough?

nudity is boring... but ive realized most of you guys havent watched the wip shots at my ftp.. otherwise some questions would be already answered
so i try it again..this time with psychology

i redid the whole head again,the old nancy was a conehead in fact. the body was already finished at this point..worktime on the body was about...uhm...almost 3 months, because i got not much time for this. im working on that armor since almost 2 months again...always little junks,just when i get time for it. if i count all together it would be just a little bit more than a week of work

cellshaded.. she was even more manga-styled at this time,

bumpmapping is the cheapest and ugliest technique you can ever use for faking actual geometry... i rather use real polygons. polycount does not matter for animations and still renders.

They have already seen it, I assure you.
I myself think correctly used Bump maps can look a lot better than most polygonal uses, because sometimes you're screwed by size.
