Note to swiftspear and all others: Proposed date of lan is on March. 26.
I have to know who/how many people are going by march 18th, and call the internet cafe owner the next to let him know.

Another note: Could we all try to bring headphones? this would significantly cut down on the noise factor? That, and i'm sure if you bring headphones, the sound quality is definitly going to be above par compared to what is provided at an internet cafe anyway.

My parents decided to spring on me this morning the fact that we're hosting easter dinner on the 26th, even though they had cleared that date with me last week... Needless to say, I have no choice but to back out.

Honestly people, I had the same thoughts in mind, espically since there is a good chance that I will have to work on the proposed saturday.

How does everyone feel about a date change?

I propose the saturday after, which is April 2nd. Does this still fall under 'spring break' for those who go to post-secondary instituions?

i think april is like a few days before finals for people in post-secondary. with finals usually worth 60-90% of your term grade, i don't think people will want to play NS then...

When are post-secondary tests. We dont have to have it during spring break.

ok, so I found out today that I did indeed get the 26th off. I can go.

In retrospect, essentially only 6 people can make. This wont be very fun with this turn out.

Well, if we can plan it out that advanced, then it shouldn't be a problem cancelling D&D, and request a day shift at work for monday.

Sunday's are better because I have this as a guaranteed day off work.

If fridays are better for everyone, then I will see if I can get the 13th off...

the lan owner says that in summer only sundays would be reservable, so unless everyone intends to arrive ON TIME, we better stick to sundays. any weekend day is fine for me. i can make anytime anywhere, and can probably bring 1 friend. if everyone is ok with 15th as a date, lets start a new thread as this one is too cluttered with plans that went nowhere

Seeing as to how long we planned the first one for, and that it failed, I think we should set a date rather far away, maybe during the summer. That will give everyone plenty of notice and allow us to spread the word so more people can come.

I think, for most people at least, the best day would obviously be a saturday. So, how about late-june? Say last or second-to-last saturday of the month.
