BACKGROUND INFO:
Hello,

I'm [Misere]^, one of the older NS players from New Zealand and member of the clan [Sago]^. [Sago]^ has the rep of being one of the cooler clans (we don't tread on any toes, tight as a clan in regards to getting along, try to help new players when ever possible and our Mums say we are cool so it must be true!). This is coz we all adhere to the following commandments, even before they were formally written. As we have got a few new members we developed these commandments to ensure that this rep was maintained. After which it occurred to us that these commandments would be a nice guide to new players who often make a lot of simple mistakes. They are designed to act more as a guide to getting along in the game NS and your local community which, at least in my not-so-humble-opinion, is way more important that getting a high kill ratio. Fex is another clan (NZ oldest clan) which we have a friendly rivalry with and my younger brother also belongs to; this explains commandment 10 which was put in for the theme effect.

Anyway, I hope this helps some of you newer players to get into the sprit of NS. Once you start you will never look back, coz NS simply kicks assi.

And so delivered unto me were the Ten Commandments of [Sago]^ and so peace may rain throughout the servers abided by its words for they are your guide to being the best all round NS player you can be. Here endth the lesson.

1. THOU SHALT NOT HAX: Never use game exploits or hax coz if you have to cheat to win you sux!

2. THOU SHALT NOT STACK: Stacking is for players that can't win even team games coz they have no skill or pride.

3. THOUGH SHALT FOLLOW THE COMM'S ORDERS: Of course use you judgement but if you want to have a chance you need to work as a team.

4. THOU SHALT NOT ****: Play for the team, don't play for yourself. I loss is a loss even if you have the highest score.

5. THOU SHALT ASK FOR TEAM CHAMBER PREFERENCE: Never get chambers that the team doesn't want, it not nice manners. Also if you can only drop one please tell the team so someone else can drop the rest.

6. THOU SHALT BE GRATIOUS IN DEFEAT: Be nice to the winning team, don't blame your comm or any other member of your team for the loss; it does not change the outcome or do any good.

7. THOU SHALT NOT F4: Unless there is very good reason to, comebacks do happen and it takes all the flavour out of the game.

8. THOU SHALT GUIDE THE NOOBIES: When ever possible less experienced players are to be guided in the art that is NS and shown the ropes. Remember that once you were a noob so don't get arrogant.

9. THOU SHALT WEAR THY TAG: Your clan is your family and the tag should be worn at all times in game and within posts on NS Forums.

10. THOU SHALT ALWAYS MOCK FEX: All rules DO NOT apply when dealing with fexlings, although you may want to pick some other clan to burn.

These are a good 10 commandments to follow. I really like the last one about mocking FeX

Also, find a way to make it so that whenever you die, and you press something to have you type, it instead has you say "I'm about to complain about the fact I got pwnt."

At least someone still follows basic common sense rules when playing games.

I only F4 when there is some idiot who decides to extend the game for 5 more minutes because he thinks it's funny to hide in a vent.

Hehe, I would just like to point out that FeX maintains thier rules no matter who they are playing

Step 1: Vote me out of the comm chair.

Step 2: Rinse & repeat.

I think the commandments get a firm "^^"

Maybe you should add

THOU SHALT LEARN TO USE YOUR MAP: Refer to you map as often as possible, not for direction but for information.

Countless times I have had to let people, the other side of the map, know they have incoming, because I have seen it on my map (and I don't mean as comm), I, also, often have to warn my team of incoming to base (again not as comm). If i'm not in a combat (not co_) situation, my map is probably up giving me much more knowledge of whats going on across the map it can also help you spot an alien in a room you have just entered.

I always make a point of applauding good comming regardless of what team im on as i have always found it difficult to comm, frag, be any good at this game lol theres nothing worse than hearing a bunch of people flame a comm or gorge for being a n00b i always (try) and keep my cool and explain to the n00b what they are doing wrong or not doing right, After all who knows you might have a very good comm or gorge in training.
