The arms on lego men are 90 degree angles half way or straight. Never curved like yours. But continue and make a lego pack

The proportions on the arm really is quite off. I'm looking at a minifig right now and it looks nothing like it. The forearm is shorter and the arm bending is just strange. I'm trying to make my digital camera take not-so-suck pictures right now..

Not very good. Looks to me those models have more wasted polies than actual polies in use. Just because you're not skilled enough to make real models shouldn't be used as an excuse to make these. My suggestion would be to go thru plenty of tutorials and then start modelling these.

Nov 4 2004, 10:09 PM
agreed.. it should look more like this (whipped up in five minutes, give or take)

you can even use that if you wish, i just made it for compairison. thogh the arm itself isnt too great. your hand is what worried me, it looks (i know it is actually) like a cylinder that you extruded and curved around.
Evil_Ice
Nov 4 2004, 10:26 PM
Bashh you lews! U didunt rotard teh vertsesies!
and the hand... last I remember the little snap in block was actually square wasn't it? like the little prong on the hand that plugs into the arm socket was a rectangular prism that cuffed at a round section before feeding into the hand, which if I remember correctly also has some curve in it, aside from being a general c shape, I think the sides of it had some smoothness
[edit: I apologise if this statement has offended anyone, however it was supposed to insult everyone]

1stoff i know how to model and quit some time. IO am losing interest in this cause really no support besides bash's arm. It isnt even close to the time to reduce poloies and i usualy take BAD critism seriously (like my fade to shake) if you want ill just end it now and save my self the pain and time. You wana **** me off well you did. I get **** quit easily.

If you can't take negative crits(be it constructive or not, I consider my post at least semi-constructive) you shouldn't be modelling at all. What i mainly meant by my post is try optimize as you go. I don't care if you've modelled before or not, but that looks totally amateurish because of the ridiculous waste. I certainly thought these were your first models. As of now i don't think they're worth showing here really. Bashh did much better job with less polies and less time.
