Some time ago, and god knows why, I started a training map with Insane, I was doing the RR at the moment, while Insane was doing the marine part of the map...
...problem was, that we never made a thread, so when Meat_Popsicle started his trainingmap thread, I immediatly stopped working on this one (we didn't have much done anyways), and focused again on my other projects.
I wasn't checking the r_speeds or the entity count since it was a "singleplayer" map... I went a bit crazy with the wires, it's something I started experimenting with back when we were actually working on the co_ competition map.
Anyways, I may end up using parts of this in my other maps, maybe selene... we could always use this thread to post our "dead" projects, dunno...

The second pic was still a WIP (specially on the lighting aspect), but that isn't important now, I guess.

Where's the revolving.. I mean, they look great!

I think you should finish it. The screens look absolutely fantastic. Of course, I am judging a 3d enviroment based off of 2d pictures, but your mapping has always been exemplary, Mendasp. I think Insane has been dying of boredom lately at any rate, and this map would also contribute another little something to the community. If not, you could always do with the cannibalization of the map, so it can contribute to future maps.

anyway heres 2 screens of a hive i made for my original ns map (ns_nova) which i even released a playable version of but was crap (centrel marine spawns REALLY dont work) so i just converted it into co_teabag

Here's a co map that never even got so far as having a name. I was about halfway through with it when my hard drive crashed and this screenshot is all that survives.

ohh, I almost forgot about that one! damnit.
Well, I made a looooong corridor in that map, I don't have the pics anymore D: it was quite similar to sava in texture choice, though.

This is the first room I made in the halflife engine, while I slowly learned not to treat things like I used to for unreal. I don't have unreal installed anymore or I'd show you guys some screens of my maps for that.

@Mendasp: Definitely use that style or those rooms in another map, that use of the yellow texture is really nice.
@DM: Finish the rest of the map with the MS, or use it for a new map - that should NOT go unplayed.
@H|CarNagE^8th: Oh ma gees! Loving the general style of bluebase, it has a very Unreal/Q2/Q3 looking into the future-esque style. It looks like a DM map though so co: yes, ns no.
P.S. I love this thread! I would post if I had PC (etc. etc.) but I'd only have Quake and CS maps as ns_solace is my first NS map...
EDIT: That's not the first time I've thanked Moultano for a map he didn't make, guess it's his catchy name that does it...

Well, if he'd actually finish it, would it be played? I think no, as most of maps.
There are many maps finished but I haven't seen any map in public servers. Only traditional ones what are turned into boringness after playing a while..

Maybe, you could all throw in the RMFs together. And some uber-map with R-Speeds so high it would make Deep Thought weep will be born from all the completed rooms.

This was my NS_Deep map, for 1.04... It was about 85% complete, with details, textures, entities, everything. Then I've lost it, with installing 2.0, because I had the map in the NS folder and never checked the "make backup of NS folder" in the install...

This picture is how it looked like some time ago, not finished... I miss that map.

Partially. But I'm being kept busy with school work at the moment, which also sucks.
Anyway, if you want to see my work on the training map, you can see it
here. Yeees, I took it and turned it into another map after we stopped work on the training map.


These were a section of my part of the collaborative #nsmapping map. I'm taking the theme and making it not suck as much an using it for a new co map. IT WILL BE UNDER THE SEA ISN'T THAT GREAT?
