I really need a video card to enhance my NS gaming. I've been told that a 16-bit card will do it. Is this true, and how much do they cost (CAN)?
Thanks!!

A 16-bit card would not do it. Those are really old (the newest cards are 256-bit). Try to find a midranged-Geforce4. A quick search on eBay shows 50-60 dollars US. It's best to always buy a midranged card because they have the best price performance ratio. A Geforce4 and a P4 ~2Ghz or Athlon XP ~2000+ should give you 100 fps at decent frame rates. Are you sure your graphics card is the problem though? The half-life engine and NS in particular is unusually processor sensitive.

It would be nice to know your full system specs, as in: Processor, RAM, Current Video Card.
Heck my old Radeon 7500 (which I don't even know if there exists an nVidia equivalent) played NS great on my new PC (70-80 FPS while I was saving up for my Radeon 9600) and not bad on my older PC (50-70 Frames Per Second).

The more bits to your graphics card-the harder it will be to instal - if your not very experienced with these things i'd go for the 16-bit because it has 16* fewer component than a 256 card.
