Whenever I join a game of ns my sound starts crackling This doesn't happen on any other half life mod and the crackling only starts after ive joined the game. The crackling therefore makes the game unplayable and makes VENTRILO also crackle. AmaZing. Any fixes? I use the onboard nForce sound card but it's hardly a sound card problem when this only happens on ns.

In my experience, Natural Selection is very picky when it comes to sound drivers. More than once now I've been able to fix a problem that only affected NS by updating or re-installing my sound drivers.

AH HA! its the sound card. i have an nForce on-board sound card and i had/have the same problem! finally, i figured it out. i just updated my drivers the other day, and i cant remember if my sound has crackled since then or not, so this might fix it

Yea i update the drivers but on my Gigabyte 7NNXP Mobo, it dont boot up =/
Ive told nvidia about the problem tho, lets see if they fix

u got the nForce unified driver, right?

make sure that durring instal ,when a warning comes from windows saying that the driver isnt certified, click continue anyway

yea i get the unified driver, but the new 5.10's dont let me boot D:
