Hey guyz, now im not sure if you guys remember or not. But a while ago on some servers, combat mode. They had concussion grenades which when they exploded near you, your gun and view started moving around imitating a concussion.

Now ive been thinking for a while now about the onos and his gore. If you think about it, getting hit by something that bit and strong. With his horn, you shouldnt be able to see and focus perfectly.

So I was thinking, make it so when your hit by an onos gore, you have a concussion like the ones in old combat mode. Obviously not peremeantly but maybe for like 4 seconds or so (to be determined)

Now, if you guyz dont like that. I was almost spooked at the logic of having an onos using focus cause the marine to have a concussion. And if you have both have onos w/ focus have marine's concussion last a little longer.

Because qutie franquely, the onos is a HUGE COME KILL ME TARGET. And this wouldnt be unbalanced. And make the onos less of a meat shield then it is now.

Thoughts anyone?

No. The onos is already strong enough as it is without having an extra thing added on to gore.

I like it. Would add some good atmosphere to NS. Can't make it a tacky concussion though, like in TFC. It's gotta be a manly one.

This would make HA/HMGs easier to kill for sure. Maybe add the concussion effect to Stomp , after the paralyzing effect wears off. Marines would have much trouble hitting a retreating onos though - it would strengthen the onos' hit and run aspect , and I'm not sure it's what we want...

TBH, I don't think this would change the onos from being a 'meat shield', since this would only effect the person who has been gored..

eh, if this effect is added to gore, it might as well be added to all the other attacks (getting a chunk bitten out of you will probably make you go dizzy). Instead, it should be applied to stomp.
If stomp stays in the game (which I hope it doesn't, but I digress), let the player still be able to fire when stomped, but the shaky screen making it very hard to aim straight. I think that will simulate the effect of being stunned by a shockwave much better than right now.

concusion on stomp would make more sense game mechanic wise.
Stomp and Devour both are un fun aspects of NS becuase you get to just sit there and stare at your screen waiting to gain control again.

Hmmm.... If stomp was radial, but didn't freeze marines in place just make them not shoot so good, you have a reason for Onos to charge into groups of rines. And it wouldn't be stupidly powerful

HMG vs onos, you don't have to aim. The onos is a big target, the hmg sprays and does massive damage. It's not going to affect them any.

Shotgun is a different story.

Concussion sounds good in general.
But frankly speaking why do you want to add it to gore when there is an onos ability that is in greater need of any boost it can get: Charge.

If charge concussed (spelling?) rines it would be a nice attack, instead of an tool used for getting around quickly.

I'd rather have it added to charge, so you could hit all the marines in a room easily.
