Full Version: Installation Problem
Heres the problem: I unfortunatly had to uninstall steam and when i reinstalled steam i also lost NS. So i went to where i saved the d/l at and i installed Beta 3 v5
Then i started steam up and when to filters>games> and there was no NS. I looked in my steam folder and its under halflife?

Make sure that you don't have two seperate steam directories.
if you read throught the insturctions it says you must play the HL demo?
Also make sure the folder is to the hl folder and that hl itself is fully up-2-date.

If you still get map.bsp errors, or client.dllrors, start from step 3 again. If you are POSITIVE that you hvae folowed the directions correctly, then redownload ns_install_v3_b5.exe from another location. |
Alright I dont have 2 steam folders. And i also have beta 3 v 1 or whatever and i'd have to install 5 folders. And i dont think i **** up that much. I jsut deleted Steam and i reinstalled it with my old d/l. I read through ur very helpful guide. I looked into my steam>steamapps> and then i only See halflife?
Before i saw Cstrike and other mods. Well anyways then i clicked halflife and i see NS folder along with unistallation for Steam. Well what iam going to try and do is uninstall Steam AGAIN. Reinstall Steam and then iam going to install an older version of NS(that is from dudes helpful guide) and then run install v3 beta 5 and if this doesnt work then i guess iam outta luck. OH and the reason i had to install was because i was 25 and 5 on a Counterstrike map and the admin sucked so i told him this and he did a stupid plug in where he bound all my keys and they wouldnt change back.
