I've stumbled across an interesting (and so far unrepeatable) bug.  Apparently, while cloaked and building a defensive chamber my gorge became permanently invisible.  I could move around freely w/o decloaking and verified this by walking around marines without them noticing.  Pretty peculiar and it went away once I evolved into another life form.  Sorry that I can’t be more specific – but I really don’t know what else to say.
