Not too shabby. The legs and arms could be a bit thicker, and the feet could be tapered a bit, and it could be skinned better, but I like it. Good work, and thanks for the release.

the skin is very low detail on purpose. It saves more fps...maybe 1 or 2

no offense, but playing with that model would ruin the game

Bashh, ugly or not, there aren't any other low poly marine models that I'm aware of. Slayerkl released something that he found useful with the idea that some other people might find it useful. So... you don't like it because it's ugly? Granted, it could use some work, but I'll take useful over pretty. If you want to do it better, please do.

Just a quick comment though, do you *really* think the skin would do that much to FPS. I think a higher quality skin could perfect such a concept, i mean 256 colour textures are generally teeny tiny anyway, i don't think the difference between them would be noticeable on a graphics calculator, let alone a pc

Guys, theres 4 stickfigures in our Hive. I'm not sure if thats good or bad, but you might want to come check it out just to make sure I'm not seeing things.

look i made it for peoples computers that cant handle more detail and cant handle 20 marines that have 1500(something like that) poligons. It looks weird so. Just dont use it. Many gamers have super computers that can afford them. NOt everyone has alienwar. (i have a 5 yearold hp.......). It is all made of boxs. I am going to fix the ain box. So it will be around 150 polys.

Reminds me of LBA, and anything that reminds me of LBA gets kudos. Can you maybe make it look a bit more like LBA

This model made me grin. Not because it's ugly, but just because it looks funny and at the same time serve its purpose of having low amount of polys. Good Job man.

For those of us who can't always play on our super computers its models like these that help those of us with PII's. I am sometimes stuck on that system. And honestly the face looks like something from the movie The Wall. Like the people who have no personalities.
