After all, I just got into modelling! Here are four pictures of what I've slapped together so far. Note: All "textures" are just differently colored areas
A missile carrier in transport mode:
or not the pictures won't upload internet doesn't support bitmaps?

i assure you that the internet does indeed support bitmaps.

maybe since its a bitmap the file size is too big for the boards? convert to jpeg and upload again

A starport with a single ship that I put together in about 30 minutes:

A huge carrier with a battalion of tanks (ok so the tanks don't have weapons the model isn't finished!):

Last but not least (this one took me the longest - about 3 days), a smaller version of the tank transport with its own treads and some Gundam-like escorts:
Hehe, cute stuff, i like it :)

good to see you have skills

but those models seem a bit simplistic, try something harder

I like, reminds me of some of my old favorite games for some reason (heavy gear!)

ahhh yes... heavy gear was awesome.
too bad heavy gear 2 was a flop :<
anyway nice models, but what are they for? O.o

They wouldn't serve much of a purpose, unless you were gonna stick them outside a window in a map to create a different scale perspective. Now that would be tasty!
P.S. If you did do this the window would have to be quite small so you could only move a very small amount, otherwise you'd be able to 'walk round' the model and see that it was in fact just Marine-sized

EDIT: Soz to hijack your post Spawn, but would any modellers be interested in creating a modelled landscape as seen from a window as described above. I wouldn't be able to give you specifics any time soon but if you think you'd be up to it...
Back on topic: Keep up the good work SoC

Actually, they aren't even .mdl files, they're some sort of .fsc or something. I only posted the pics to show what I can do with my program. It takes premade "parts" of models and lets you put them together however you want to. I actually made the starport one in like half an hour because the buildings were single parts, the ground where the ship is parked is a single piece, and the whole port off to the left is one piece. lol
Edit: I don't mind this time, Kobayashi, but please keep it in ur own topics from now on, ok?

; j/k it's no problem to me.

What are they for? Nothing. But I'm going to make some NS models soon, so check back in a while.

btw, does anyone want a couple models as concepts for NS? I could slap something together for u...if u want. Also, here's the program installer, if it isn't too big:
Edit: Or not...ok for some reason when I go to post the file some strange site called "IncrediFind" takes over the browser and tells me that the forum site isn't available?

Dude... thats not modeling...
DogaAll you do is take "shapes" or "parts" and put them together.. My 7 year old brother can do it..

Oct 10 2004, 09:44 PM
Yes, well, it's what u DO with those parts that matters! Besides, I can't find any other easy-to-use modelling programs...lol

No offence, but you need to think before you post. You've posted so many useless or irrelevant posts. If you need to ask for help with something thats fine ask away, if you have something that you've made, by all means show it (don't say you made this, it's just like lego, that doesn't count).
And another thing, think about your thread subjects, "Ok, So I'm Showing Off..." It would be showing off if it was outstanding work, but this at best is average, not worth saying your showing off and if you think it truely is outstanding you need to go and take a look at some other models about then go look at yours again.
I'm sorry if this seems a bit harsh but I figured it needed to be said.

Well, I was showing off because it was my first time modelling lol. Now that I'm a bit better at it, I'm no longer really using this thread. Go ahead and lock/delete it if you want, moderators.

We are trying not to be mean, but we have seen some very good models on here, and I mean
very good. I'm not going to list names, Thats just a bad idea, But when we see a topic named 'I'm showing off' we have high hopes

ok well srry to bump a thread that suxored soo much arse, but I'm just telling you that for now I've given up modelling for real, though u may see some of my concepts that I made in DoGA. The level 3 program is actually pretty good, and the DoGA team made a program (though a crappy one) that allows me to make my own parts for DoGA. Check my thread in the Concepts
Just A Random Concept, the Zoid Onos Replacement.

Whoa - that page is still there? Weird.
It's probably worth me saying that those links haven't been checked for probably over a year, so a lot of them might be broken by now.

could someone post a direct link to the HLMV installer? I have it at home but I want to show some of these models to ppl at school and the site I keep getting is blocked by that stupid Bess filter system.
