When I am talking about the commander scroll speed, I am talking about when you mouse over to the edges of the screen and it starts scrolling.
Sensitivity doesn't increase the scroll speed. Changing the mouse scroll speed (Out of game) doesn't increase it. What does?
I know it can be increased, as I've watched some Pandas commanding demos and they can scroll around the map really fast.
I know you can scroll by clicking the mini map, or click-dragging, but that doesn't help me when the situation is:
Some JP'ers are in the alien hive, and they start to retreat down a hallway. Well they go pretty fast and I'm dropping meds / ammo / cats, but they scroll off my screen within a second. If I try to scroll to catch up to them, they're most likely dead. If I click the mini map, by the time I mouse on up back to click on the marine to med him he's most likely dead.
What I want to be able to do is somthing like this:
Say a JP'er is traveling to the right of the screen down a hallway. I want to be able to move my mouse to the right most part of the screen and be able for my screen to scroll at such a rate where I can easily keep up with the jet packer. How can I do this?
Don't tell me it's not possible, I've seen it done. Also I don't need your off topic tips / remarks ("Why does a JP'er retreat?") ("omg j00 sux at med spam n00b!11")

No idea honestly, but you can use mwheel to get back to the med command, which will re-center your screen. Other than that I usually use minimap drag + clicking on the screen.
Tried some random cls now that you mentioned it, no effect :/
Edit : Closest thing I could find was increasing windows sense to get crazeh comm sense.

Anyone else have any solutions? I could comm 300% better (Cancel bonus!) if I could only scroll faster

Arrow keys?
I'm not sure if the varible is client side, server side, in a map entity, or hardcoded tbh.

practice your clicking on the minimap and dropping stuff from starcraft, works for me! i play with 15-30 fps and i always end up dropping something to jpers even if they fly super fast, i usually go 2 - 3 windows ahead of them, drop a **** load. they would usually be smart enough to stop and get the packs

I refuse to use the mini map. Most (if not) all the clan comm video's scroll with the sides, like an actual RTS game.
Dropping stuff like Starcraft? A better example would be a more build-intensive RTS game.
Dropping meds like dropping structures in Starcraft would be terrible med spam.

We do? I click the minimap constantly, that's how I move around large areas. In small areas I simply scroll by moving the mouse against the side of the screen.

I use the minimap to quickly go from one area to another, but
not to med spam.
I understand the use of the mini map to quickly go from one place to the other. It would be stupid to scroll all the way across the map.
I am talking about med spam use. The JP'er that keeps sweeping the hallway. On small resolutions I don't think you can see as much, and it requires you to scroll the side to keep up with the JP'er.
It takes more APM to click the mini map then move the cursor back to med spam. But it's so much easier to just move the mouse to the edges of the screen to track and spam the JP'er. The demo's I've seen that's how they med spammed.
Anyone figured out how to increase it yet?

Hmm, is it possible to select a med/ammo/cat, then click the mini map itself and drop it there? I must test this today....

The commander interface is archaic at best, and such things are probably impossible beyond a certain point. I know the maxspeed is set to 4000 serverside for the commander, so I'm assuming you move at that speed scrolling. Your best bet is to simply anticipate their movement and go with them. I use 1024x768 and I have no problems tracking 10+ people individually around the map, even with JPs and such.
