I can't wait if you guys do snag this awesome-xor sound. I've been waiting/looking for a good MG-42 firing sound for DoD.
i recorded a part in the sewers, right when they throw a flashbang, and you'd hear the sound at the end
theres also a longer part, near the end of the movie

You should probably try to get the scene from the end of the movie instead of this one.

I found a really good sounding MG-42 firing sound.
For CoD by Fluffyinsanity
i figured out a (rather ridiculously easy) way: use sound recorder set on the 22hz, mono settings, and got the sound, while still retaining quality..the problem is its volume.
heres a quliaty one, try it out and post back ur comments

I rather like this one. Its from a sound pack for
Forgotten hope I downloaded something like a year ago, I still use it since it sounds really cool.
It has a very sharp sound and when you release the trigger it has an echo.
I don't know who made it since I only have the rfa file, I lost the credits text during a reinstall of battlefield1942. It works in ns so it should work in dod or any other hl-mod

jsut use sound recorder, set the stuff to mono, 22hz blah blah and record it. thats how i got the sound
i used audacity to record the sound, then used the sound recorder set at the ns settings. then used WAV splitter to trim the sounds
