This started when I loaded Steam yesterday, and it started updating. As soon as it finished, I found that I couldn't load Half-Life, and as a result, I couldn't load NS either. I have registered my CD Key on Steam, but Steam constantly gives me this message in a window:

"Your purchase is still being processed - Steam will notify you when the transaction has been completed. Until then, this game is not available to play."

My friend had this problem.. it's real weird.

Best thing to do is download the Steam + HL install (From the steam website) and run that. It worked for him after he got that error with the 600k client.

A lot of people are having this problem. Wait for VALVe to release a patch to fix it, I think thats all you can do. I just spent half an hour in #steam-support on Quakenet, and a lot of people have this problem...
