Well, certainly more than SOME. Some of the tabs are quite annoying

I had trouble with the medpack, armory, onos, lerk, gorge, comm chair, IP, and the res node.

Oct 30 2004, 06:28 PM
The armory and onos were easy in comparison to the ip. I couldn't even get my fingers to the tabs, and if I did they turned to dust when I touched them (Not really, but you get my point).

Oct 31 2004, 07:18 PM
The onos was easier? I guess that was my mistake. I thought the ip would be the easiest because it was only one piece. Oh well.. (and in case you were wondering, I didn't change the scale of the ip- that's how big it is when you print it on a full sheet of paper)
I'm not sure what I'm going to do next. I'm thinking of another ip or cc (but in colour this time, now that I've got a new printer) or possibly one of the onos/lerk/gorge.

id advise you to start with the onos, as i found it fairly simple. i wish i had, i did the cc then went onto the lerk. which is about 5x harder imoi started the gorg now but kinda bored of it, i want the HA marine! Cmon zycar its looked nearly ready in the pics it cant be far off
Well good work, ive done ip ,well done c3 im printing out cc.. hope its less fiddly than that blasted ip ... hope both sheets are proportial as well

i want to do onos .. look a bit hard though and so does the lerk, too amny small peices, cc ahs just finnished. c u l8rs with pic of them both - hopfully

Just image if we could print them on carton boards so when we would build them they would be almost true life sized !!!
After that, you could put them around in a room and have an NS party !!!
The paper cut thing is a great ideas for us NS fans !!!
Good job !

If you wana realy big HA .. I can render realy big Image for you ..
and you can print one piece on one A4 paper ..
It's just coupe of minutes work in any paint program which can cut/paste parts of raster image ..
or I can send you (*.max) & (*.bmp) files with prepared (unfolded) model and bitmap file with model texture ..
and you can render it in any resolution

piece by piece
this files are result of
[Glue flaps] step before rendering fiunal image in my guide :

id like it big but still be bale to print on a4, so you would need to split up all the parts enlarge them (say 2x or 3x times bigger) and rearanged to be able to print on A4, im a noob with this sort of thing, if sum1 can do this for me it'd be much appreciated

Pssst: Can we have a TF? Or a PG? What about a res tower (scaled to fit the res node)

Is it possible to make a really big life sized Mine papercut?
So I could make them and then stick them all over my friends door with double stick tape.

And then you could stick a laser pointer in it, to make the illusion complete.
Nice work on the HA, btw. If I ever get any good at these things, I'll build one.

i spose you dont HAVE to made it with moving parts right ? could just glue it ?

with red cross are marked holes for wooden parts
(that browns parts: HJ5, EJ4, LJ1, KJ4, 12 ...)
from gray parts (like 11, Lj2, HJ4, ...) you make tubes for both sides of wooden part .. it's gray squares on reference pictures ...

Nov 11 2004, 12:28 AM
build or cheare for 3D model ?
form 3D model to paper .. 3 days

.. with reference pictures
building from paper .. something about 10 hours ..
It's not hard .. ONOs is harder

Just don't forget make it precise as can be

10 hours omg, think ill make it with out the joints
ZycaR
Nov 11 2004, 09:14 AM
Atom .. don't be stupid.. you must create all parts too ..
- one tip at start :
All parts between joints make first to final figure .. like "L1" or "L2"
and after that you make final joint "KJ1 - KJ4"
and after you got all this three complex thinks -foot, -thigh, -joint
.. just glue it to final figure of leg

BTW: HA with joints can ride on gorg

and do many thinks ...
Now I try making ShotGun and Heavy Machine Gun for Heavy ...

make a pack which you can DL with ALL the models!

I'm working ont he pule rifle still (DAMN IT'S HARD!!!) and I'll make these all asap, and stage a mini-battle!
Just make sure to make full sized weapons and then some to fit the mini-marines!
Erm... on that note- are the miniatures to scale with one another? If not, can you resize them easily? If so, can you do it so that I may make a kick butt battle scene? (make the onos like, stand at least 5 inches tall, so that the guns aren't like, 1 cm by 4 cm 0o')
